Goan Beef Chilli Fry

Unlike Goan traditional Beef chilli fry which is prepared with leftover roast beef, this particular recipe is made using sauces and spice powders adding a distinct taste and flavor to this dish. Enjoy this beef chilli fry as a starter, light lunch or a side dish.

Ingredients for the Marination:
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 500 gms – Beef, cut into 1”Cubes
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tbsp – Ginger Garlic paste
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 2 tbsps – Vinegar
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Salt to taste

Combine all the above ingredients in a bowl and let it marinate for 4hrs or more.

Other ingredients:
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tbsp – Tomato sauce
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 2 tsps -Red chilli powder
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tsp – Cumin Powder
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tsp – Paprika powder (optional)
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1/2 tsp – Pepper powder
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 tsp – Cornflour
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Salt to taste
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 2 tbsps Vinegar

Take a bowl and mix all these ingredients well. Keep aside.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Cook the marinated meat in a pressure cooker for 2 whistle. Keep aside to cool.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» On a medium flame, take a wok and pour the oil.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Once hot, add the spices (paste) and sautΓ© for 2 minutes.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Add the cooked meat with its stock and cook till water reduces half its quantity.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Turn the heat to high and add the sliced onions, tomatoes, green capsicums and green Chillies. SautΓ© for 3 minutes or so.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Season with salt.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Garnish with coriander leaves..
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Beef chilli is ready to be served.
