Goan Xacuti Masala

Goa’s popular curry powder used in many non-veg and vegetarian preparations that exudes an aromatic flavour. Loads of Indian spices goes in making of this masala, so be sure you do not skip any of the below
ingredients to enjoy your delicious curries.

πŸ‘‰πŸ» 200 gms – Whole Dried Red Chillies
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 30 gms – Coriander seeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 20 gms – Fennel seeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 25 gms – Cumin seeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 10 gms – Aniseeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 10 gms – Turmeric powder
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 3 gms – Mace
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 8 gms – Black Stone Flower (dagad phool)
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 5 – Bay leaves
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 12 gms – Cloves
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 20 gms – Peppercorns
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 8 gms – Cinnamon sticks
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 15 gms – Poppy seeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 10 gms – Fenugreek seeds
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 10gms – Green Cardamoms (whole)
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 5 gms – Black Cardamoms (while)
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 5 gms – Star Anise
πŸ‘‰πŸ» 1 – Nutmeg

πŸ‘‰πŸ» Take a pan on a medium flame and dry roast each ingredient separately for about 1 minute or until crispy and fragrant.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Remove in a wide bottom tray and let it cool.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Add all these roasted spices together in a mixer/ grinder and grind it to a fine powder.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Once done, remove this powder in wide bottom tray and again allow it to cool off completely.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Store in a airtight glass container.
πŸ‘‰πŸ» Use this masala as required.
